Cut Flower Garden Plant Starts
It all begins with healthy, robust plants! By popular request, pre-orders for our incredible “Cutting Garden in a Box” are now available! We carefully select 30 of the healthiest, most beautiful cut flower plant starts from our greenhouse to give you an exciting amount of fragrant, fresh cutting material throughout the 2024 growing season.
These are not plants typically available in most garden centers! As a specialty cut flower farm, we have access to flower and foliage varieties not usually found in most stores, like dahlias, lisianthus, eucalyptus, specialty strawflower, rudbeckia, and zinnia varieties, and many more! When cared for properly, these plants will produce many blooms all season long. These plants starts have big root systems and are in plugs nearly 4” long (larger than the 50 cell pictured). We grow our plants from seeds, tubers, corms, and cuttings, and use only the healthiest, organic-certified amendments, Vermont Compost germination mix, liquid fish and kelp, and mycorrhizal fungi to make your garden soil healthier year after year. We never use any harmful chemicals anywhere on our farm. This collection of 30 plant starts offers a variety of several flowers and a little foliage suitable for cutting and will include dahlias, lisianthus, eucalyptus, and strawflower, which are some of our customer’s all-time favorite requests, as well as several other cutting varieties. All plants are good for average soil in full or part sun locations. These 30 plants will fit snuggly into a 15-square-foot garden.
Plants will be hardened off and ready for your garden upon receipt. Shipping is not available; on-farm pick up only at our farm in Pittston, ME. An email will be sent out to all purchasers with the exact pick-up date, most likely around 3rd or 4th week of May, when we are sure the weather will cooperate for your new plantings. There are no refunds once orders are placed, as we begin planning, planting, and caring for your baby plants right away, and over the next several months. We can’t wait for you to get planting!!!
